Woman rescued after crocodile attack
A 33-year-old-woman is recuperating at Nyang’oma Mission Hospital after a crocodile attack.
Nancy Achieng’Ochieng is said to have been washing clothes at the lakeshore of Riskis-Kogwari beach in Bondo sub-county when she was attacked by a crocodile that severely left her injured on here right thigh.
According to Ny’angoma Assistant Chief, Mr. Michael Amollo Osare, the woman was rescued by two fishermen who were drawn to her screams.
The incident comes barely two weeks after a 32-year-old man was killed by a crocodile in Oele beach, Yimbo East ward.His body was retrieved from the beach and taken to the mortuary.
The residents have expressed their fears due to the increased cases of crocodile attacks in the area.
