CONTENTMENT… The rare jewel

It would be befitting to start by clarifying that contentment is not the synonym of complacency, at least not in the sense that it is used in this article. While complacency has the negative connotation of settling for mediocrity and an uncritical satisfaction with one’s achievements, contentment has a lot to do with the appreciation of what we have. It is also not about resignation, which means giving up and feeling disempowered, and neither is it the enemy of growth. Simply put, contentment is ease of mind.
