Top 2017 KCPE candidate Goldalyn Kakuya has received scholarship from the Margaret Kenyatta Scholarship fund. Goldalyn, who studies at Brookhouse School, had been selected to join Kenya High School but turned down the offer in favour of the international school.

The 15-year-old, who lives with albinism, became the darling of the nation when she emerged top in the national exams with 445 marks out of the possible 500. She further endeared herself to the public thanks to her eloquence and clarity of thought.

Goldalyn even got to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta who had invited her to State House. The President promised that his administration will ensure that she gets all the support she needs to fulfill her dreams.
